Congratulations to our Customer of the Quarter: V. Marchese, Inc.!
We asked Josh Weber, Chief Financial Officer for V. Marchese: What would you like our customers to know about your business? “Three things,” Weber said, “Customer Service, Quality and Family.”
“We would like everyone to know that we value our customers above all else,” Weber told us. “That is why we stress the importance of being a customer service driven organization. Our expectation of our employees is not to only meet our customers’ needs but to exceed them.”
V. Marchese has over 120 employees and over 50 refrigerated trucks to serve customers in and around Southeastern Wisconsin, Northeastern Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, and Northwestern Indiana. Because they buy direct from premium growers in Wisconsin –and around the world– they deliver quality produce year-round sourced from all growing regions.
When you visit their website, you’ll find V. Marchese offers variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. They also provide dairy products and juice, spices and dry herbs, flour, gluten and yeast, and nuts seeds and dry fruits. Chances are you’ve enjoyed their salsas and premade salads at a picnic.
“We set ourselves apart from our competitors because we only bring in the best product,” Weber said, “Our customers come to us to get the best, and we make it a priority to give them the best.”
In 1934, The Marchese family began its business in a building on Milwaukee’s Commission Row. The company used a horse & buggy to deliver to its downtown customer base. Today, V. Marchese has a 80,000-sq. ft. building near the Menomonee Valley, and over 50 refrigerated trucks to deliver product around the Midwest. Through the decades, they’ve never forgotten their humble beginnings.
“Our business is family owned and operated,” Weber explained. “We pride ourselves by not losing that building block of the company. The importance of being family-focused is always emphasized. Because working for or with V. Marchese Inc. is not only a partnership it is, in the end, working for or with ‘family’.”
