Late last year, it was announced to The Starr Group staff that after 15 years, Senior Account Manager and Dedicated Claims Specialist Mary Kurth would be retiring from The Starr Group in 2022.
The care and compassion Mary has extended to our customers as our dedicated Claims Advocate over the years is unsurpassed. She is one of the reasons for Personal Lines’ remarkably high customer retention rate of 98%. Mary is a wealth of insurance information and TSG Management realized that replacing such a valuable resource would be a very tall order. While the agency Leadership searched for her successor, Mary trained the entire PL account management team on Claims processing and servicing customers until Mid-October.
During her time with the agency, Mary was an active member of the Best of the Best Ethics Committee and was instrumental in molding the award-winning culture at TSG. She has been a positive role model of our Wellness Program, successfully participating in annual Step Challenges, Lunch & Learns and numerous Office Olympic events. Over the years, Mary has spoiled coworkers with her culinary talent providing comfort foods, soups, stews, and baked goods as well as home-grown, garden-fresh veggies.
Employees, family, and friends gathered at Tuckaway Country Club in Franklin for a retirement celebration on October 20 for both Mary and our Operations Specialist Terry Weinecke who also retired in October. The evening included cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a program comprised of remarks from Management and a tribute video to both ladies. Mary and Terry each expressed gratitude to The Starr Group and its staff.
We sincerely thank Mary Kurth for her dedication and friendship and wish only the best for the next chapter of her life.
Already Strong PL Team Boosted by Newly Acquired Talent
Personal Lines Senior Account Managers Pam Brackmann and Alex Queoff are excited that The Starr Group has added fresh talent to the team. Some of you may have had the pleasure working with the Account Managers already. Ally Weisbrod has been with TSG since May of 2021, and she brought Melissa Wolff on in November 2021. Both ladies recommended former colleague Neil Berger, and after the required interview process, he joined the team in August of 2022. Neil wrapped up two months of training as a Personal Lines Account Manager. Eager to help the team, he jumped into the phone que the last week of September to field customer calls. A fourth Account Manager, Mitch Kellner will be joining The Group in November. He comes with plenty of customer service experience and was recommended to us from our own Britta Schmidt, Commercial Account Manager.
We are confident these additions to our PL team will continue to the tradition of providing an excellent customer service experience to you. Call us anytime to speak to one of our teammates about your home and auto policies: 414-421-3800.
