The new certificate, approved by Wisconsin's Commissioner of insurance reads as follows:

Should any of the above described policies be canceled before the expiration date.  Thereof, notice will be delivered in accordance with the policy provisions.

It is common for a certificate holder to request that they be given 30 days notice of cancellation.

As of April, 2008 the commissioner stated that "no insurer or agent can provide a certificate of insurance that amends, extends or alters the coverage afforded by the policy".    Due to this, the Starr Group, along with all insurers' and agents' in the State of Wisconsin, cannot alter a certificate to allow for 30 days cancellation notice.
